Have you ever found yourself labeled as "too calm," "low on energy," or "not quite lively enough"? If that's the case, then this is meant for you. You might recognize yourself as someone with "low energy." But for a moment, let's set aside the negative associations. When you talk about having "low energy," you're not saying you're constantly exhausted, lacking enthusiasm, or permanently in a gloomy state. It's more like your energy is mellow, akin to the soft hum of a quiet engine rather than the roaring speed of a race car. Throughout your life, you've likely encountered questions and comments about it. "Why don't you smile more?" "Did you skip your morning coffee?" Or perhaps the infuriating, "Cheer up!" Even your friends will give you multiple tips, like improving your sleep patterns and altering your diet. But here's the twist: You've tried some of these remedies, and guess what? You're still mellow, and what's more, you're perfectly content with it.

calmness is not a problem. being an extrovert is not a problem. extroverts are good but we must accept the calm and serene introverts too.

Our culture appears to idolize high energy, doesn't it? When you step into a job interview, there's an unspoken expectation that you should radiate enthusiasm, even if you're applying for a role that operates behind the scenes. While a bit of enthusiasm is undoubtedly appealing, there seems to be this belief that "more energetic" automatically translates to "better suited" for life. But here's the intriguing part: life, with all its complexities, is far from one-dimensional. So, why should energy levels be confined to a single standard? This bias isn't limited to workplaces. Social gatherings, parties, and even casual get-togethers often leave individuals like you, who possess a calmer disposition, feeling somewhat out of place. It's almost as if your natural energy style is perceived as a flaw that requires correction. Your energy, much like your personality, exists on a spectrum. You often bring unique strengths to the table that are mostly unrecognized. You prefer depth over display. In the middle of all the noise in the world, you take time to think deeply and find important insights that others might miss. You find individuals with mellow energy just like yourself who forge deep, meaningful connections without the constant need to "perform". In a world that puts a tinted lens of confusing idealism on everything, you are frequently presented with a narrow view of success, which is a combination of extrovert energy and super-enthusiasm, climbing ladders, networking tirelessly, and radiating endless joy. But it is unable to include the reality of every individual. The beauty of life lies in its diversity. In a world where calmness is sometimes misinterpreted as indifference and introspection as aloofness, it's high time we expand our understanding of the spectrum of energy. Calmness is not a problem to solve. Instead of fixating on ways to "boost" someone's mood or energy, we must accept the entire spectrum. In a society that's perpetually in a rush, there's immeasurable value in those who choose to stroll, relishing the journey of life at their own pace. We needn't view calmness as a problem to solve. Instead, let's celebrate it for what it is—a unique and essential part of the tapestry of human energy.
